Johanne's mother is often given as Ide Holck. However, Johanne's father, Anders, first married Regitze Lunge who appears to have died died sometime between 1395 and 1405. Johanne's birth is also often given as early as 1385, although 1395 is more likely. To fit Johanne as a daughter of Ide one would have to assume Regitze died before 1400, then have Anders marry Ide before 1400 and give birth to Johanne. not impossible, but also not likely.

This is the papal dispensation given to Gotskalk and Johanna so that they could get married, something they never did though. It's written Dec. 20th 1421 by Pope Martin V.
Latin version: "Episcopo Burglanensi. Datum Rome 13. kal. jan. anno 5."
This is a norwegian translation, I don't have an english version yet, contact me if this is interesting (Remi Pedersen).
This means that Gotskalk and Johanna was third cousins.
--------------------
Høvedsmand" i Vendsyssel. Hun døde 1479 og blev begraven hos Hr. Niels i Dueholm Klosterkirke.
[NI856] !Sagnomsuste borgfrue paa Asdal i Jylland.
"Anno post semel M.c.c. (!) bix & sex Hans petram Domina in sculpsit Helena Sub qua Johanna mater generosa sepulta Illius ex anno mortis prostrata secundo Domino Nicolai Kaasii Armorum Patris sunt haec insignia Matris"

Johanne Andersdatter Panter of Asdal (is often called Fru Sappi) * ab. 1395, + 1476, inherited great riches from her 6 brothers, who all died young; she was the last of the family Panter.
When her family opposed to her marriage to Bonde Jensen Due, he abducted her, when she went to dress a bride. Bonde Due died ab. 1420, and she married in 1422
--------------------

[Kilde: Dansk biografisk Lexikon, Bricka, C. http://historyandlegend.blogspot.com/2006/11/family-panter-clausholm-slot-east.html
The coat of arms of the Panter-family was a blue shield with a panter in skaktavlmønster (chessboardpattern) in silver and red. In the 1300s the Panter-family was in opposition to Valdemar Atterdag. It is known that the king captured their manor Clausholm. ( description of Clausholm will come later on this blog)-
Gårdbogård's (by Skagen) history is traced back to 1335, where it belonged to ridder Henrik Nielsen Panter. He was a rather prominent nobleman of that time; he served Erik Menved and Christoffer II, and when grev Gert in 1326 was endowed with Sønderjylland, he took part in sealing the fief-letter. After the king-less period he was among Valdemar Atterdag's men. In 1345 he is mentioned for the last time, and at that point he was no longer the owner of Gårdbogård; he had exchanged it off to Vrejlev kloster.
Tranekær and most of Langeland belonged for a longer period to a sønderjysk hertug-family, king Abel's descendants, and in the 1300s it was mortgaged to the nobility family Panter (see the text about Laurids Jonsen Panter below). During Valdemar Atterdag's attempt to unite the kingdom Tranekær was besieged twice, and in the second attempt the king succeeded in taking the castle, which then came to the Crown.
Hvedholm, (Fyn) east of Horne kirke was once a king's manor, and it is mentioned the first time in 1231. Valdemar Sejr was in 1223 kidnapped by a German graf at the island Lyø, which belonged to Hvedholm. Ca. 1430 the king and drost Laurids Jonsen Panter (see text ab. LJP below) exchanged Hvedholm and Langeland. In 1475 Mette Panter inherited Hvedholm and Løgismose. Her son's son Eiler Hardenberg was killed in the expedition to Ditmarsken in 1500.
Vilsted slot, Himmerland near Vitskøl kloster and Løgstør.
In the western outskirts of the present village Vilsted was in the early middle Ages situated a fortificated castle named Vilsted, which belonged to the Panter-family. The manor was in 1407 bought up by Margrethe I as a part of her systematic closure of the nobility's fortifactions - and she let it demolish. Until the drying up of the area the castle bank was surrounded by Vilsted Sø, and earlier were seen stone foundations and driven in posts. Now Vilsted Sø is back where it once was, and the former castle is now just a low grasscovered rise in the meadow.
Tranekær slot, Langeland
Laurids Jonsen - 1340, Drost, belonged to a family, which in its coat of arms had a panter; it is a misunderstanding that he so often has been named an Eberstein.
He is present in Erik Menved's later years, the first time in 1307, when the king endowed his brother Christoffer with Halland. In the year 1315 he was ridder and attended in Nyborg (Nyborg slot) the agreement with hertug Erik of Jylland; strangely enough he received the same year a fief-letter from markgreve Valdemar of Brandenburg on his Danish inherited estate Ærø, although Erik Menved at that time wasn't on friendly terms with Valdemar.
In the following period Laurids Jonsen is often mentioned as being in the presence of the king, and 1318 he was one of four Danish magnates, who were arbitrators in the feuds with Sweden. After Erik Menved's death he seemed keen to have Christoffer elected, and he became king he at once chose Laurids Jonsen Panter his drost.
Laurids Jonsen kept this high position for a couple of years, but he must have fallen into disfavour; he lost his drost-office and maybe his fiefs too. During these circumstances he took the first chance to turn against Christoffer, and when the king after the death of hertug Erik of Sønderjylland demanded guardianship for his underage son Valdemar, both Laurids Jonsen and the former marsk Ludvig Albertsen Eberstein joined Valdemar and his maternal uncle, grev Gert. On 30 March 1326 the little hertug Valdemar promised of all his might to assist the two magnates in order to achieve an agreement with king Christoffer in their own will, and he gave them for their security the castles Haderslev and Tranekær at Langeland.
Tranekær was given to Laurids Jonsen as his part and was from now on in his possession. Thus the feud started against Christoffer, leading to his expulsion and to the election of hertug Valdemar as king of Denmark, and Laurids Jonsen became drost again. It seems that he participated little in the government of the kingdom, on the contrary he saw to hold on to his fiefs, Langeland and Ærø, plus Skam herred at Fyn, which he took in mortgage for a considerable sum. His efforts for holding on to his properties weren't easy though - Gert was hertug of Sønderjylland, Valdemar was king for a short time and became hertug of Sønderjylland once more - both grev Gert and hertug Valdemar wanted to drive away this mighty vassal.
In 1331 Laurids Jonsen Panter had to seek agreement with them; the question about Langeland was referred to be settled by arbitration, and it seems that he on this occassion mortgaged Ærø to grev Gert for 1000 Mark silver. The arbitration did not happen though, but 1339 hertug Valdemar prepared an attack on Langeland and grev Gert promised to assist him. Shortly after, on 6 April 1340, Laurids Jonsen Panter died and was buried upon the island, where he for so long had lived, in reality as an independent prince.
He was married twice, his second wife was a tysk grevinde, Margrethe Gutzkow, with whom he probably achieved the grevskab Strey on Rügen.

1420, and she married in 1422 hr. Niels Eriksen Banner, who was the king's vassal in Nørreherred at Mors, he was son of Erik Thomsen Banner at Sjælland, a son of Thomas Nielsen Banner.
The family Banner descended according to Saxe from Timme Sjællandsfar , who in a fight in England in the days of Cnut the Great gathered the retreating Danes round a banner, composed of a green beech branch upon a spear.
Hr. Niels Eriksen Banner became rigsråd an the king's vassal at Skivehus and Aalborghus. When he died in 1447, fru Johanne became vassal at Aalborghus and in Vendsyssel; she was the leader of 24 men and signed the tribute to Christian I. She is called 'an astonishing wise and learned lady.' There is a portrait of her at Gaunø slot (Adelsårbog 1892).
In extreme old age she lived in her own house by Dueholm kloster at Mors and was buried beside her second husband in the kloster-church, where still in the 18th century was ' a beautiful stone' over her. Both church and stone have now disappeared, but fru Johanne's posterity is as numerous as the sands by the sea ( see i.e. Norsk tidsskrift for Genealogi, 3.bd.) In her first marriage she had 4 children, in her second marriage 14.
